Learn Premium
Learn gathers the Qur’an by subject, by passage and by phrase, so you can follow a theme across the whole book, settle two verses that begin almost the same way, or find the dua for what you are actually asking for.
Dua
113 supplications from the Qur’an gathered by what they ask for, and 105 from the Sunnah by occasion, each with where it is recorded and how it is graded.
Topics
2,328 subjects, each gathering every ayah that speaks to it, wherever it falls in the mushaf.
Mutashabihat
813 repeated phrases across 2,232 ayat. Near identical openings and endings are where revision goes wrong, and reading them side by side is what settles which is which.
Themes
1,049 passages, every surah in reading order, so you can see what the page in front of you is about.
Similar Ayat
1,162 ayat that echo another, sometimes word for word.
The tab itself is open to everyone. You can look inside before deciding whether to buy it, and going to a page, a surah or a verse from Learn is always free.
A native app on every device
The Holy Quran is written natively for each device it runs on. The mushaf is typeset by the system itself rather than drawn in a web page, so the app opens quickly, moves the way the rest of your device does, and keeps your place when you turn it.
iPhone and iPad
- Written in Swift, so the mushaf is typeset by the system itself
- On iPad, tafsir opens in a column beside the page instead of covering it, and the mushaf stays live next to it
- Reflow uses the width of the screen, so the type is as large as the setting promises
- A keyboard attached to an iPad turns the page and reaches the menus
Mac
- A Mac app that lays out for the window rather than reading as a stretched tablet
- Go, Page and View in the menu bar, where you expect to find them
- The arrow keys turn the page
Android
- Written in Kotlin, and built feature for feature with the Apple apps
- The same mushaf, the same reciters and the same data
- One Premium unlock per store, bought wherever you installed the app
In a Browser
- The digital mushaf opens at holyquran.org.uk/read, with nothing to install
- For Windows, Linux, a Chromebook, or any machine the app does not reach
- The free features only: translation, tafsir and Learn live in the app
Free, with an optional Premium
The Holy Quran is free to read. Everything in the Free column stays free forever. Premium is entirely optional, and nothing you have already saved is ever locked behind it.
